Spiritual Benefits Of Alligator Pepper
What are the spiritual benefits of alligator pepper? How is alligator pepper used for spiritual protection and manifestation? Are you sure your alligator pepper is actually alligator pepper? Is alligator pepper demonic? The things you must never say while using alligator pepper. Why you should never buy alligator pepper seeds for spiritual work and the simple morning ritual that could change your life. We are talking alligator pepper. Alligator pepper is another blessing from the motherland with both spiritual and health benefits, but today I will be focusing on the spiritual benefits. From blessing babies during naming ceremonies to removing negative energy, neutralizing evil spells, banishing and protection to manifesting prosperity, abundance, love and boosting your business sales, alligator pepper is another West African spiritual powerhouse. It is also used to communicate with our ancestors and divine entities.
Alligator pepper is called ataare in Yoruba, ose oji in Igbo and can be found all over West Africa from Nigeria to Ghana, Togo, Guinea and Ivory Coast. In Ifa, ataare is also used as an offering to Ifa and the orishas, it can be used to give your ikin ifa an ase boost and it is used in a variety of Ifa medications. When you do ifa divination, ataare may be a part of your ebo. Alligator pepper is also one of the things that can be used to feed your Ori. Many of us use it in the mornings for protection and manifestation. If you have had a consultation or coaching session with me, I have probably recommended it, because it is a simple but extremely effective addition to your morning routine. I use it in many of my oils, soaps and spiritual baths, including the first one I ever created, my bitter leaf and orange prosperity bath.

Alligator pepper is often confused with grains of paradise aka guinea pepper. They are related and part of the Afromamum family, but they are NOT the same. This is a very common mistake and the market vendors or stores are usually none the wiser. Alligator pepper is almost always sold as the whole pod, while grains of paradise or guinea pepper are usually sold as the loose seeds. For spiritual and health purposes, please make sure you are buying the right thing. Do not buy the seeds for spiritual use, always buy the whole pods and open them with your arms behind your back.

Is Alligator Pepper Demonic?
One of the questions I get asked often, usually by Abrahamic folks, is whether or not alligator pepper is demonic. The only reason this question is being asked, is because it is used in African spirituality, so it is demonized, like everything else. The same people believe that God created everything, so how come your God is out there creating all these demonic things? Oh I guess it's because it's African, right? Let's learn to use just a little bit of common sense. It is a gift from nature and this demonizing of herbs, roots and barks is ridiculously tedious. Even the word "herbalist" has become a four letter word in West Africa, just like "ritualist". A lot of brain cells have slowly been eroded thanks to the dominance of the fanatical Abrahamic faiths. Herbs are a gift from Olodumare or if you prefer, your Abrahamic God. And we ALL perform rituals. Getting up, brushing your teeth, taking a shower and saying your prayers is a ritual. So, no, alligator pepper may be POWERFUL, but it is NOT demonic. I do caution people to be mindful of their words when using alligator pepper. Watch what you say. Not just when you are performing the actual alligator pepper ritual, but as you go about your day, in general. We all know that words have power. Some of us have more ase in our mouths than others and what alligator pepper does is it gives your words even more ase, which, in this case means power, so that your words manifest. When you are using alligator pepper, do not speak negativity into your life and PLEASE, do not speak negativity into the lives of your children. Especially mothers, your words carry even more weight. Mothers are extremely powerful spiritually and you have the power to bless or curse your children. Watch what you say and use your words to uplift your children.
How To Open Alligator Pepper
Alligator pepper should be opened with your hands behind your back. You will find that one end of the pod is easier to open than the other, start pressing it open from that side. I like to pay homage to the spirit of the alligator pepper - Iba Ori Ataare and ask that your will be done. All living things, whether plants or animals have their own Ori and I always pay homage to plant's Ori before use. If any of the seeds fall to the ground, leave them and discard them. I like to place the seeds in a small ziploc bag for use whenever I want them.
Alligator Pepper Rituals:
There are so many alligator pepper rituals and I will definitely be making more videos, but here are some of my favorites.
Simple Spiritual Cleanse To Neutralize Negativity
There are many variations to this cleanse, ranging from one seed, to three, four and seven. Personally, whenever I have done this, I used three, as led by my Ori. As always, pay homage to Olodumare, the Supreme Creator, the spirit of the alligator pepper, your Ori or whatever you believe in. Then pass the alligator pepper seeds all over your body - neck, arms, chest, stomach, legs, then in an anti-clockwise motion around your head three times. All the while speaking your declarations to cleanse yourselves of negative energy and banish evil. Discard of the seeds outside.
You can do a variation of this after sex. Follow the previous instructions and then take a spiritual bath with epo obo powder and sea salt. For those who have my scent leaf and prekese soap, made specifically for after intimacy, you can use that or my igi nla and epo obo cleanse and protect soap.
Easy Alligator Pepper & Epo Obo Spiritual Bath
This easy but super effective spiritual bath can be used whenever you feel like to need a spiritual cleanse or have been in contact with some negative energy or people. 1 teaspoon epo obo powder, 1 teaspoon sea salt and 21 crushed alligator pepper seeds. Pour the ingredients in a large bowl or bucket and allow to steep in boiling water for at least 10 minutes before use. As with all spiritual baths for cleansing and protection, I recommend you shower first with regular or a protection soap and then pour the spiritual bath over your head and entire body as you speak, always speaking your intentions and allow your body to air dry.
Alligator Pepper For Protection While Traveling
You will need one alligator pepper seed and one bitter kola. Cut the bitter kola in half carve out a little hole in one of the halves and place the alligator pepper seed inside. As always, homage first and then speak your intentions. Tie up the bitter kola with black thread or fabric and keep it in your pocket. A variation of this is to chew the alligator pepper and bitter kola and swallow.
Alligator Pepper Business Booster
Use 4 or 7 seeds, chew them while speaking your intentions and then spit them outside your place of business. If you use 4 seeds, perform this ritual for 4 days. If you use 7 seeds, perform this ritual for 7 days.
Alligator Pepper Morning Ritual For Protection, Banishing and Manifestation
Women use 7 seeds, men use 9 seeds. Put them in your mouth and chew, while making your declarations and speaking your intentions in the morning. It is easier to chew with your front teeth, so that the crushed seeds don't go all over your mouth. It is much easier to spit it out afterwards. I like to start with the protection and banishing and then ease in to the manifestation. For example: "All obstacles are crushed, before they even find me. Any evil sent my way return to sender a thousandfold and let them feel the burn a million times hotter than this pepper. Evil never locates, poverty never locates me, ill health never locates me, bad luck never locates me." Then move into what you want to call in - "Favor always locates me and favor finds me each and every day, good luck always locates me, good health and healing always locate me, money always locates and I am making money everyday, good luck always locates me". It is your life, so come up with some words of your own and use your own ase, now enhanced by the power of alligator pepper.
