Itefa is a comprehensive three-day program that marks a significant milestone in one's spiritual journey. This initiation ceremony is a transformative experience that fully inducts an individual into the Ifa spiritual tradition. Here's an overview of the three-day program:

Day 1: Itefa Ceremony

- Spiritual bath and cleansing rituals to prepare the individual for the initiation

- Prayer and meditation to connect with the divine.

- The initiation ceremony takes place, where the individual receives their first set of Ifa sacred palm seeds (Ikin) in the spiritual Grove of Ifá.

- An Odu (a sacred text and guiding principle) is revealed, which will guide the individual's life and spiritual path

- The Odu is unique to each individual and serves as a blueprint for their spiritual journey.

Day 2; Interpretation of the Received Odu

-On this day, Babaláwos (priests) from inside and outside of the temple shall come together to chant, recite and interpret to you the message embedded in your Odu. This is where you become more aware of how to bring balance to your life.

-Rituals and every recommended offerings would as well be made on this day to ensure balances are brought to your life.

Day 3;

IFÁ divinations would be done to reconfirm all they have done.

Taboos:

After Itefa initiation, individuals are expected to observe certain taboos to maintain spiritual balance and harmony. These taboos may include:

- Avoiding harmful behaviors and negative influences

- Refraining from certain foods or activities that can disrupt spiritual growth

- Observing regular spiritual practices, such as prayer and meditation

- Respecting the sacredness of the Ifa tradition and its teachings

By observing these taboos and embracing the teachings of Ifa, individuals can deepen their spiritual connection and walk the path of balance, harmony, and fulfillment.

- Post-initiation;

Classes and basic teachings to help the individual understand their Odu and its implications.

- Instruction on how to work with the Ifa sacred palm seeds and integrate the teachings into daily life.

Visits to some tourist attractions such as the popular Osun grove that is located in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria

The total cost is $4000. This includes accommodation, 2 days of teaching, feeding, the initiation programs and transportations to the tourist areas. You will be met at the airport in Lagos and driven to Osogbo. All you have to worry about is your flight and any spending money for shopping.

It is important to arrive the day before the initiation begins, as there is some preparation that must be done before the three day initiation commences. So, initiates should plan on staying for a week. If you choose to be initiated into one of the Orishas, that will be an additional cost and extra three day stay.

Initiation can be paid for in full or split into up to three payments. It is advisable to secure a slot well in advance with a minimum of one month ahead of your desired date(if available).
