Scent Leaf(Ocimum gratissimum), also known as African Basil, Efirin(Yoruba), Nchanwu(Igbo), Daidoya and Nunum is one of my favorite Nigerian/West African health, culinary and spiritual powerhouses. Spiritually, it is a great spiritual bath and cleanser used to remove negative energy, reverse spells and curses, attract abundance and positive energy. Scent leaf is used in soaps, powders, spiritual baths and oils. I use it in my Scent Leaf & Prekese Soap (great after intimacy) and my Scent Leaf & Prekese Spiritual Bath.
For a quick spiritual bath, boil or steep some scent leaves and a teaspoon of sea salt and use the water to bathe.
Health Benefits:
Scent leaf has antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties. From lowering blood sugar and cholesterol levels to fighting tooth decay, speeding up digestion, treating ulcers and diarrhea, reducing inflammation and managing HIV/AIDS, scent leaf has been used traditionally for centuries. This is also one of the ingredients in my morning agbo(herbal tea) - coming soon. You can make a quick tea steeping or boiling the dried scent leaves. Of course, if you are in Nigeria, West Africa or Asia, you have access to the fresh leaves.
Ships in 2oz and 4oz pouches
